What
sets Maine Media Federal Credit Union apart from the rest? Personal friendly service is what every
member receives when they stop by, call, or contact us by email.
Every member is an owner - please feel free to contact us with
any questions or suggestions you may have. Working together,
we can build a stronger future for each and every member.
History
Founded in 1935, we are the oldest federal credit union in
the state of Maine. We were originally chartered to service
the employees of the Press Herald and Evening Express. Like
all credit unions, we are a not-for-profit cooperative, owned
by the members who save and borrow here. Every saver is a
member, and every member is an owner, with the right to vote
for credit union officers and policies. This collective approach
to saving and lending usually results in higher dividends
paid on savings, as well as lower rates on loans.
Mission Statement
Maine Media Federal Credit Union strives to be its member's
primary source for individualized service, convenience, competitive
rates, and a range of
financial services.
