As a precautionary measure to ensure the security of our members’ accounts and prevent fraudulent use our members’ debit cards, the credit union will be reissuing new Visa Debit Cards with new numbers to all members that were affected by the Hannaford Supermarket breach.
We have already started the reissue process and expect to have all cards reissued within the next 3 weeks. If you card was compromised you will be receiving a letter the week of March 24th.
Maine Media Federal Credit Union will also be increasing its debit card activity monitoring by taking extra caution when viewing transactions that appear out of the ordinary for your normal debit card behavior.
